Qualification Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED desired
  • Must be able to complete work in a productive, safe, and timely manner.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience using mechanical hand tools.
  • Basic teardown and repair experience.
  • Basic machine or machine-tool set-up experience.
  • Able to use standard micrometer, caliber, and other measurement gages.
  • Basic computer skills, internet, Excel, Word, and CribMaster is a plus.

Basic Functions:

  • Must maintain acceptable attendance in accordance with policy.
  • Must be able to follow production requirements schedule.
  • Must fill out all paperwork correctly per GAA GWI’s.
  • Must meet productivity standards.
  • Must be able to set up all power feed drill motors per GWI’s.
  • Must be able to understand and use micrometer and caliper and other gages if needed to properly set up drill motors.
  • Must complete all training.
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision and maintain an acceptable appearance to the customer.
  • Complete and submit accurate end of shift and productivity reports
  • Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
  • Must maintain 5-S requirements.
  • Must always maintain a courteous working relationship with all customer associates.
  • Must always maintain process and flow requirements.
  • Skills include basic technical knowledge, manual dexterity, good eyesight, as well as the ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift carry, push, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. He has good hand-eye coordination and expects to stand and walk a large amount of time.


  • Diagnosis and makes repairs on powered tools, such as drills.
  • Responsible for rebuilding defective mechanical parts.
  • Must prepare paperwork and keep stock of parts.
  • Uses a variety of tools and equipment to assemble units according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and written instructions to assemble the parts.
  • Look for faulty components during the assembly process and may be required to test assembled parts or products to ensure functionality.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds unassisted. Must be able to deal with stress associated with meeting multiple deadlines and demands.

Work Environment:

Working conditions are normal for a logistics/distribution/production work environment, including exposure to changing building temperatures. All safety rules and regulations must be followed.
